"Funky,sustainable and cheap"

The late tendency brings the everyday life in the container, that is, many people make containers their home and office. This idea was born in England but it developed in USA and worldwide.

Architects plan the buildings, assembling old containers;they used them as building block, with doors and windows.Contatiners are an extremely flexible system of construction, strong structurally and  easkly livable.Containers cities propone an alternative solution to traditional space provision. The process of construction is simple:the containers are used as bricks of lego.Cointainer city is cheaper ,faster to build and respectful of the environment. The first container city was planned by Nicholas Lovey, closely Canary Wharf.

The project was born in 2001 by USM (Urban Space Management).Using the same tecnique of construction was built ,in 2008, in only one day,a part of the Cyril Jackson School.

CONTAINER CITY (LONDON)

It is a versatyle system to provide elegant and economics lodgings and multifunctional. The concept introduced from Urban Space Management. The containers are an extremely flexiblemethod of construction being both modular in shape, extremely strong structurally and readly available. These containers of last generation are ideal for offices and lodgings of workers. Besides externally appear not of the simples containers but are presented as a only building covered with different materials. Finally the benefits of container cities can truly be seen in short and medium term land use project. Short-life sites can have Container Cities that simply unbot and can be relocated or stored when land is required for alternative uses.
