The Tower Eiffel

The Tower Eiffel is a structure in iron placed in France on the Champ de Mars to Paris. Built in 1889 for a fair from the engineer Gustave Eiffel, it is the icon of the France in the world.

Today the tower is the second tallest structure of the France (324m) after the viaduct of Millau, and it is visited every year by thousand of tourists. It is formed from three levels: the first two attainable both afoot and in elevator, the third one only afoot.

Spectacular are the restaurants situated to the first one and the third floor.

On top of the tower there is a spar of transmission radio.
