Water Taxi Beach

It’s possible to give at the place the connotation of ” livable” if it is on the line to needs of the people who used its and if it offers a lot of services and activities, regardless of age group.

This is the reason that why, during 2005, was born “Water Taxi Beach” at Long Island (NY), Queens’ western end , over against Manhattan. It was a disused industrial area , that was  developed and  changed in the one of the most beautiful beaches, with a breathtaking outlook.

Water Taxi Beach is becoming a centre of attraction for the tourists and a place usable from people who live there, New Yorkers who wouldn't dream of such a thing, to have a beach among the huge skyscrapers and above all it’s easy to get there because the general plan is to do also means of transport to reach its, in fact there are “Water Taxi”, yellow-colored with chequered stripes like vintage taxi.

This beach is used for several activities, from expectable behavior like to sun, to surfing and to play at volleyball to fashionable behavior among teenager like to arrange parties by night and day-time barbecues, but  swimming is not allowed because the water is ice could and risky. To think about a beach as intended use of a disused area may appear featureless, but  this idea is effective in new Yorkers context , where it represents a pleasant and an unusual think without overlooking American customs, in fact on the beach there are some Bar and kiosks that makes tasty hamburgers and cool drinks.
