One day the master died at work and hachiko waited in vain, outside the station , for his arrival . Nevertheless , he returned to the station every day for 10 long years. With time , all the Japanese people knew this story of love and friendship and in 1934 was built a bronze statue with his likeness , in front of to the station of shibuya “the key component of the transport system in Tokyo”. Infact it is considered one of the most dynamic areas of the city where people cross the road in all directions. The area is illuminated by video screens, on all the buildings in the area and there is a variety of shops and restaurants. the square is also a meeting point for young people that express themselves through art and fashion ganguro making the area more colorful and very distinctive. For a person not accustomed to the rhythm of the great metropolitan to vist this area is certainly a overwhelming experience.
