The Guggenheim Museum
The Guggenheim Museum is one of the world’s most famous and important buildings; it is a museum of modern and contemporary art designed by Frank O. Gehry, an important exponent of The Deconstructivism, and It was order by Solomon r. Guggenheim Foundation.
The Guggenheim Museum, that is a spectacularly beautiful and sculptural building, is located in Bilbao, a river town of Spain, along the Nervino river. The works started in the 1994 and finished in the 1997, there was the first opening to the public on the 19Th of October.
The museum occupies a total of 24000 m2 , of which 9066 m2 are dedicated to exhibition space.Its structure is totally covered by titanium. This material is very particular because can change the aspect of the museum according to the time of the day, but unfortunately it also involves a constant cleaning.

Apart from the museum itself in the outside there are also other works of art, for example The Maman of Louise Bourgeois or The Puppy of Jeff Koons or Tall Tree & The Eye of Anish Kapoor.
The inside space is as important as the outside space. It is very vast so it can house a lot of temporary exhibition of different famous artists in more to its wide collection. Its collection is composed by all the works of art of the Guggenheim Foundation and most of them are of the 20Th century.
This iconic building, with its wonderful aspect, has caught much attention to the city of Bilbao. In a short time a lot of tourists from all around the world were attracted by this great work, which became the symbol of Bilbao’ s city.
