Palau de la musica the entrance

The Palau de la musica is the venue of the Orfeò Català, a choral society of Catalogna. It is located in Barcelona, a important city of Spain, that is open to visitors every day of the year. It is a classical example of Catalonian Modernism and it is defined like “garden of music”. Palau de la musica is used by choral society to concerts and events, but it i salso the venue of school song of Orfeò. It was designed by Lluis Domenech e Montaner, and its construction began in 1905 in the district of Sant Pere. The work ended in 1908 and was an istant success so that the building was awarded by City of Barcelona. Several times the building was renovated and enlarged by many leading architects and was also a UNESCO World Heritage. Between the materials used for tthis building there are the enameled glass and crystal that underline the magnificence of the structure. It has an unusal architecture that doesn’t conflict with the surrounding buildings. There are many sculptures that adorn the intern and the fornt of the entrance of Palau de la musica: indeed there is a group of sculptures dedicated to the characters of the catalan folk songs. This building is unique, for its rich exterior decorations( mosaic), but also internal ones with sumptuous materials like polychrome glass and ceramics. The group of sculptures in the corner of building was created by a spanish famous artist: Miguel Bay
